Synopsis in German
Marcelle ist ein kleines Mädel aus der Provinz, das bei seinem Onkel, dem alten Tanzmeister, lebt. Ihr Traum ist es, eine große Tänzerin zu werden, und als sie einer berühmten Tänzerin in die Hauptstadt folgt, lernt sie dort Generaldirektor Duval kennen, unter dessen Protektion sie zum gefeierten Star wird. Marcelles Liebster Charles kommt ebenfalls in die große Stadt, will aber partout ohne Protektion Karriere machen. Heimlich verhilft Marcelle ihm zu einer guten Position bei einer Bank und einer prächtigen Wohnung. Als Charles das herausbekommt, gibt es einen gewaltigen Krach, und Charles und Marcelle kehren in die Provinz zurück. Nun zieht Duval alle Register, um Marcelle zurückzuholen, und am Ende sieht auch Charles ein, dass man sich manchmal von anderen helfen lassen muss, um glücklich zu werden. (www.filmportal.de)
