Synopsis in German
Polemik gegen den Meineid-Paragraphen: Habgieriger Vater will aus seinem Töchterchen einen Tanzstar machen, um möglichst viel Geld zu verdienen. Die Mutter versteckt das Kind bei einem Freund und schwört vor Gericht, dass sie seinen Aufenthaltsort nicht kennt. Die Wahrheit kommt heraus, und die Mutter wird wegen Meineids verurteilt, ins Gefängnis gesteckt, schuldig geschieden, und das Kind dem Vater zugesprochen. Der Vater heiratet eine Tänzerin, die das Kind ausbildet, und gemeinsam zwingen sie es dazu, auf Tanztourneen bis zur Erschöpfung aufzutreten. Schließlich bringt der Freund der Mutter den Vater um. Das Kind darf zur Mutter zurückkehren, der Freund geht ins Gefängnis. (www.filmportal.de)
