Synopsis in German
Da ihm das Geld für die Medikamente seiner schwerkranken Frau fehlt, ermordet ein mittelloser Gastwirt einen Spielmann. Jahre später hat sich die Wirtstochter in Arpad, den Sohn des Spielmannes, verliebt. Gastwirt Matter ist mit dem gestohlenen Geld des Spielmanns zu Wohlstand gelangt und hat sich ein neues Haus gebaut. Er meidet das Licht, weil die Sonne zum Zeugen für den Mord aufgerufen wurde. Unter der Last des Verbrechens wird Matter wahnsinnig und zündet sein Haus an. (www.filmportal.de)
