Synopsis in German
Die junge Braut Anna von Glassner erhält kurz vor ihrer Hochzeit mit dem Grafen von Fahrenwald geheimnisvolle Briefe. Von dem Grafen heißt es, er sei geisteskrank. Anna schlägt alle Warnungen aus, verläßt aber am Hochzeitsabend nach einem furchtbaren Streit mit dem Gatten das Schloß. Da bestärkt ihn sein Diener in dem Glauben, sie sei tot und im Schloß begraben. Bis sie eines Tages aus Sehnsucht nach ihrem Mann in das Schloß zurückkehrt und sich herausstellt, daß nicht der Graf, sondern der Diener wahnsinnig ist. (www.filmportal.de)
