The FIRST VICTOR release is made FRIDAY, JUNE 14 [1912], "NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS," in which Florence Lawrence plays the leading role, supported by Owen Moore and an all star cast. Mr. Harry Solter is the director of the Victor Company. (The Moving Picture News, June 1, 1912, pg 5)

The Victor Company hardly needs any comment as the work of Florence, under the direction of Harry L. Solter, is well known throughout the world. Miss Lawrence has enjoyed a much needed vacation, and is back at work sparkling with vivacity and life, and exhibitors can confidently expect splendid pictures from this studio. HARRY SOLTER ON VACATION. The Universal Film Manufacturing Company is Jesirou- of contradicting rumors to the effect that Mr. Harry Solter is no longer connected with that company. One of the heads of the LTniversal Company stated to a Moving Picture World reporter that Mr. Solter is at present taking a vacation to look after some private business matters, and that he will be back at the studio when he gets ready to return. Mr. Solter is the producer of the Victor films in which Miss Florence Lawrence is being featured. Mr. Giles R. Warren is directing the Victor productions in Mr. Solter's absence. MISS M. I. MACDONALD of the Moving Picture News and Miss Emma. R. Steiner entertained a few of their friends at a St. Patrick's party on Monday evening. Among the guests were : Mr. Stephen Bush and Mr. Mcllvaney of the Moving Picture World, Mr. Alfred H. Saunders and Mr. Wm. M. Petingale of the Moving Picture News, Miss Mary Pickford, Mr. Owen Moore, Miss Florence Lawrence, Mr. Harry Solter, all of moving picture fame. "Solter to produce on Coast" - Harry Solter left for Los Angeles last week on a producing mission for Carl Laemmle. Solter has not been active for the past year having been in retirement since he left the Universal. At one time he was Griffith's chief assistant and he is rated as a good program director. 1917
"Bitter Sweet" will be Mr. Soltcr's initial offering, with Ella Hall, the star, playing a dual role. J. Grubb Alexander furnished the story and Fred Mynton supplied the scenario. Jack Nelson, George Bernager. Claire Du Brey, William Dyer, Leon Kent and Charles Mailes will lead the supporting cast.
