Robert Redford was born on August 18, 1937 in Santa Monica, US. He is an American Actor, Director, known for África mía (1985), The electric Horseman (1979), The Great Gatsby (1974), Robert Redford's first movie on record is from 1962. His last motion picture on file dates from 2018.
Biografia (en Alemán): Seit dreißig Jahren einer der größten Stars in Hollywood, gründete Robert Redford, 1937 im kalifornischen Santa Monica geboren, 1980 das Sundance Institute zur Förderung und weltweiten Vermarktung von amerikanischen Independent-Produktionen. Nachdem er bereits 1968 seine erste Produktionsfirma Wildwood Enterprises gegründet hatte, rief er vor kurzem South-Fork Pictures mit dem Ziel ins Leben, die Realisierung ,geistig unabhängiger Filme, zu finanzieren. Die erste Produktion der neuen Firma ist Edward Burns´ ,She´s the One,. Danach folgten Filme wie ,Hauptsache Beverly Hills, (1998) und ,How To Kill Your Neighbor´s Dog, (2000).
Für sein großartiges Familiendrama ,Eine ganz normale Familie, wurde Robert Redford 1980 mit einem Oscar* als bester Regisseur ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus unterstrichen vier weitere Oscars* in den Hauptkategorien eindrucksvoll seine herausragende Leistung. Für seine elegante Inszenierung der bissigen Mediensatire ,Quiz Show, (1995) erhielt er außerdem eine Academy-Award*-Nominierung als bester Regisseur. Als Schauspieler hat Redford in einer Reihe von Filmklassikern mitgewirkt, darunter in ,Zwei Banditen, (1969), ,Der Clou, (1973), ,Der große Gatsby, (1973), ,Die Unbestechlichen, (1976), ,Jenseits von Afrika, (1985) und ,Ein unmoralisches Angebot, (1993).
