Ingrid Bergman was born on August 29, 1915 in Stockholm. She was a Swedish Actress, known for A Matter of Time (1976), Casablanca (1942), The Visit (1964), Ingrid Bergman's first movie on record is from 1932. Ingrid Bergman died on August 29, 1982 in London. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1988.
Biographical Notes in German: Sie war einer "der leuchtendsten Stars in der Filmgeschichte" (Cinema-Film-Lexikon), bei ihr paarte sich außergewöhnliche Schönheit mit Talent und einer starken Persönlichkeit. Ihr erster Hollywoodfilm "Intermezzo" (1939) machte sie über Nacht berühmt, mit "Casablanca" (1942) schrieb sie Filmgeschichte, es folgte die Zusammenarbeit mit Hitchcock. Einen ungeheuren Skandal provozierte sie, als sie 1950 ihren Mann und ihre Tochter verließ, um den italienischen Regisseur Roberto Rossellini zu heiraten. 1956 kehrte sie nach Hollywood zurück, wurde in Gnaden wieder aufgenommen und drehte weitere sehr erfolgreiche Filme, u.a. "Anastasia" (1956), für den sie ihren zweiten Oscar bekam. (mdr Presse)
