Biographical Notes in German: Mit 14 Jahren wurde Jodie Foster für ihre Rolle als Prostituierte in Martin Scorseses Kultfilm "Taxi Driver" (1976) für einen Oscar nominiert. Danach zog sich der Kinderstar aus dem Filmgeschäft zurück und studierte Literatur an der renomierten Yale-University. 1985 schloss Jodie Foster ihr Studium summa cum laude ab. Drei Jahre später spielte sie in "The Accused" ein Vergewaltugungsopfer und wurde für ihre eindrückliche Leistung mit dem Oscar geehrt. Ihre zweite Goldstatuette nahm sie 1991 in Empfang für ihre Rolle als unerschrockene FBI-Agentin im Psychothriller "The Silence of The Lambs". Im gleichen Jahr inszenierte sie mit ihrer eigenen Produktionsfirma "Egg Pictures" den beachtlichen Spielfilmerstling "Little Man Tate".
