Luise Kolm was born under the given name Luise Velté on August 1, 1873 in Wien. She was an Austrian Director, Author, known for Der Ledige Hof (1919), Die Csikosbaroness (1930), Von Stufe zu Stufe (1908), Luise Kolm's first movie on record is from 1908. She was married to Anton Kolm, Jakob Fleck. Luise Kolm died on March 15, 1950 in Wien. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1937.
Biographical Notes in German: Eigentlich Luise Velté, Regisseurin und Autorin des österreichischen Films, in erster Ehe mit Anton Kolm, dann mit dem Regiseur Jakob Fleck verheiratet. Sie gilt als erste Filmregisseurin der k. u. k-Monarchie. Nach dem Einmarsch der Deutschen in Österreich zuerst ins KZ Dachau verschleppt, dann 1940 bis 1947 Emigration nach Shanghai.
