Siegfried Dessauer was born on September 20, 1874 in Berlin. He was a German Director, Actor, Author, Aufnahmeleiter, known for Annemarie, die Braut der Kompanie (1932), Aschermittwoch (1930), Cagliostro (1929), Siegfried Dessauer's first movie on record is from 1913. Siegfried Dessauer died on May , 1945 in Berlin (??). His last motion picture on file dates from 1933.
Biographical Notes in German: Regisseur und Schauspieler des deutschen Stummfilms, um 1890 als Schauspieler zu Wanderbühnen, dann um 1910 als Hilfsregisseur zum Film. Debütierte um 1914 als Regisseur bei der Imperator-Film, vorwiegend Detektivfilme und Melodramen. 1926 schuf er eine der zahlreichen Verfilmung des "Hauptmann von Köpenick". Zu Beginn der Tonfilmzeit vor allem als Aufnahmeleiter für Produktionen von Carl Boese beschäftigt. Nach 1933 Berufsverbot, 1938 Ausschluss aus der Reichsfilmkammer.
Siegfried Dessauer kam wahrscheinlich im Mai 1945 in Berlin ums Leben.
